Do I need a logbook to scrap my car?
Yes, to prove vehicle ownership and properly scrap it with the DVLA, you’ll need this document. However, if you’ve misplaced it, you can contact the DVLA for a replacement.
I have lost the keys and I want to scrap my car, is it possible?
No problem! As long as you have the logbook and give us permission to access the vehicle, our drivers are fully trained and equipped to handle this type of situation.
How will the DVLA know I have scrapped my car?
We take care of it for you! We’ll complete and return the relevant sections of the V5 registration document to the DVLA. Once the vehicle has been disposed of, you’ll receive a destruction notice from the DVLA within 4-6 weeks.
My car does not start or move and I want to scrap it, is this a possible?
No problem at all! We’ve likely handled much tougher jobs. These types of collections may take a bit longer, but we’ve never failed to lift a vehicle yet!
Can I claim back my unused car tax?
